Grant Service and Support

Grant Instruments has over 50 years experience in manufacturing Scientific and Data acquisition products. We recognise that a key to our continued success is to offer first class after sales service. We have a dedicated customer support and service team to look after all your, service, calibration and repair requirements.

We have qualified electronic and mechanical engineers covering everything from product preventative maintenance, calibration and servicing through to repairs. We will survey all products that are returned to us and quote for repairs - if necessary we will advise that the product is beyond economical repair and quote for a replacement product.

We aim to complete all repairs within 5 days or receipt. We will always advise our customer if repairs will take longer than stated.

We are able to offer fixed price servicing on most products. All service, repairs include electrical safety testing in accordance with national safety standards.

All servicing, repairs and calibration is undertaken in accordance with our ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

Grant Instruments offer a comprehensive after sales support service for all your products. This includes:

  • Product extended warranties
  • Yearly product recall and calibration service against national traceable standards.
  • Product hire
  • Preventative maintenance servicing
  • Fixed price servicing and calibration
  • PAT testing (electrical safety testing)
  • Product service training
  • On site servicing (see details)
  • Software upgrades

All work is quoted in advance and carries a 12 month part warranty. No repair work will be undertaken without our customer’s approval.

We offer FREE technical support and application advice for all our products.


Product Warranty Policy

Grant Instruments operate a quality system which aims to exceed the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 certification. Our objective is to treat all customers as we would wish to be treated if we were the customer. Our aim is to achieve continuous improvement in all that we do and we continually seek customer feedback. We are committed to providing the highest quality products and service to our customers.

All Grant products are supplied with a standard warranty, which can be extended for most products. For most Grant products the standard warranty is 3 years.

This warranty does not cover acts of god, accidents, misuse, abuse, negligence, unusual electrical or mechanical stress, use with unsuitable chemicals or unauthorised product modifications or repairs or lack of maintenance. The warranty will be void if product is operated or stored in an environment that exceeds the product environmental performance specification.


Damaged Goods or Operational Failures

Goods that arrive damaged or do not meet specification should be reported to Grant Instruments as soon as possible.

We request that as much as practicable damaged packaging is kept so that courier/insurance claims can be initiated as necessary. Photographical evidence can also prove useful in making claims.
