Cambridge, UK, August 20, 2007 - Grant Instruments (www.grant.co.uk), a world-renowned supplier of scientific, life sciences and data acquisition products, has unveiled two brand new quality ranges of unstirred water baths. Modern, easy-to-use, reliable, robust and competitively priced, the SUB Aqua (digital) and JB Aqua (analogue) families are designed to meet the everyday needs of customers in general laboratories, including life sciences and educational establishments.
The SUB Aqua and JB Aqua ranges, which feature 7 models in each range and a whole raft of accessories, immediately set a new ‘standard’ for water baths, offering high performance and value-for-money in the market, combined with the renowned Grant quality and reliability.
The stylish new baths are available in a wide range of stainless steel tank sizes (2, 5, 12, 18 and 26-litre) including a compact, shallow 2-litre water bath ideal for use with microtubes in life science applications. Grant has also introduced a dual 5 and 12-litre combination water bath, which offers excellent value-for-money and is ideal for laboratories where different sample temperatures are required at the same time.
A new gabled polycarbonate lid not only improves performance but limits evaporation, reduces contamination and conserves energy. A perforated base tray also improves the performance, promoting heat convection and optimal temperature uniformity. Every bath is supplied with a lid and a base tray as standard.
The new baths also feature user-settable sample protection and fixed thermal cut-out so both samples and users are protected. The programming is simple and intuitive, and for the digital SUB Aqua range, the PID temperature control circuitry provides quick heat-up and precision control throughout the temperature range (ambient +5°C to 99°C). Like all Grant products, the new water baths are built to last, meet CE and CSA standards and come with a 3-year warranty as standard. The baths are manufactured in Grant’s UK production facility, using only the highest quality materials, including German stainless steel tanks.
“One of the world’s best selling ranges of water baths has just got better,” says Rob Thorburn, commercial manager for scientific products at Grant. “The SUB Aqua and JB Aqua ranges are unbeatable for everyday use, offer exceptional value-for-money, and come with Grant’s legendary quality and reliability built-in.”
